In an effort to recover millions of dollars in unpaid fines owed to the province, the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General began partnering with the Canada Revenue Agency in the 2008-09 tax season to garnish federal government income tax and GST credits from people who have not paid fines.

Court Services is both a branch of the government and a servant of the court. As a servant of the court, Court Services Branch provides administrative services to the judiciary and carries out the orders of the court. As a branch of government, Court Services is responsible for providing and enhancing an efficient and effective forum for just and equitable dispute resolution by the courts of Saskatchewan.
