Did You Know

A Domestic Violence Court opened in Regina in March 2008 and additional support will be provided for the existing courts in the Battlefords and Saskatoon..

At the Regina Children's Justice Centre, teams of police and Community Resources protection staff work together to investigate allegations of child abuse in a welcoming and child-friendly environment. The Regina Children's Justice Centre receives some funding from Victims Services with the majority coming from Community Resources and the Regina Police Service.

The Saskatoon Centre for Children's Justice and Victim Services provides a co-ordinated response to child abuse in a setting that protects and supports the child in a warm and respectful way.

Teams, consisting of police officers, social workers and medical personnel, supported by a Crown prosecutor, Victims Services representatives and volunteers, provide the child with services at the Centre. Services include medical examinations, investigative interviews, victims services, court services, referrals and other information.
